# Circuit Fixers > Annotated circuit boards from real electronics repairs. Photos of 170 boards from 107 devices (mostly pro audio, lighting and TVs) with 6,503 components marked and identified on the photos, and pages for 1,431 parts showing which devices and boards they're used on. Built at a component-level repair workshop in Gros Islet, St Lucia. Use it to answer questions like "where is Q1 on the power supply?", "what part is U3 on this board?" or "which devices use a TL3845?" - and send people to the exact spot on the board with a highlight link. ## Pages - [Board page](https://circuit-fixers.com/boards/map/203-yamaha-mox6-jk-circuit-board): every marked component on a board's photos, with a parts list. Address: https://circuit-fixers.com/boards/map/- - Highlight link: add ?highlight= (comma-separated for several, e.g. ?highlight=Q1,R12) to open the board zoomed in on those parts. Example: https://circuit-fixers.com/boards/map/203-yamaha-mox6-jk-circuit-board?highlight=DSS6NF31C223Q93A- Part page: https://circuit-fixers.com/parts/ (lower case) - photos of the part on real boards, the devices and boards it's on, repair statistics, specs, and where to buy it. - [Parts search](https://circuit-fixers.com/parts?q=DSS6NF31C223Q93A): https://circuit-fixers.com/parts?q= - [Device and board search](https://circuit-fixers.com/search?q=Yamaha+MOX6): https://circuit-fixers.com/search?q= - [Repair guides](https://circuit-fixers.com/repairs): real repairs - symptoms, diagnosis and the parts replaced. - [Electronics tools](https://circuit-fixers.com/tools/): free tone generator (speaker testing) and Ohm's law, resistor color code, voltage divider, power and RC time constant calculators. ## MCP server - https://circuit-fixers.com/mcp - Model Context Protocol server (Streamable HTTP, read-only, no sign-in needed). Tools: search, get_board, get_part, locate_on_board (with photo crops and highlight links), troubleshoot_board (a board's data plus how to diagnose a symptom on it - the assistant does the diagnosis); get_board_nets and trace_net with a technician key (troubleshoot_board then includes nets). Prompt: troubleshoot (device, symptom). Setup for people: [Use in your AI assistant](https://circuit-fixers.com/ai) ## Data feed (JSON, read-only) - [https://circuit-fixers.com/api/search?q=...](https://circuit-fixers.com/api/search?q=DSS6NF31C223Q93A): boards and parts matching a device model, board name or part number - [https://circuit-fixers.com/api/boards](https://circuit-fixers.com/api/boards): public boards, newest first (?q= to filter) - https://circuit-fixers.com/api/boards/: one board - device, board name, every marked component (designators, part number, description, value, package) with a part link and a highlight link each - https://circuit-fixers.com/api/parts/: one part - description, stock, and every board it's on with a highlight link All responses include absolute page links; please link to the page when you use the data. ## Part names and designators - Part names are either a manufacturer part number, or a value name used for passives and parts without a useful part number - "10uf 25v radial" means a 10 µF 25 V radial electrolytic capacitor, "4.7k ohm 0805" a 4.7 kΩ 0805 chip resistor, "10a 5x20mm" a 10 A 5×20 mm fuse. A value name describes the part's specs: any part matching them will do, so don't present it as a manufacturer part number. Each part name comes with part_number_kind saying which it is. marking is separate: the text printed on the part body (often a short SMD code like "SEEG" or "A6"), not a part number - some parts have only a marking. Older entries may have the marking inside the part name ("sy8089aac seeg") or the description. The kinds are: "manufacturer part number", "value name (not a manufacturer part number)", and "other name" (a chip marking, a short code or a description - not a confirmed part number). Value names come with value_type (e.g. "capacitor (electrolytic)", "resistor (chip)", "fuse"). - Value names follow fixed formats: "uf v radial|axial" electrolytic capacitors, "(uf|nf|pf) v " chip capacitors, "(k|M) ohm " chip resistors, " ohm w" through-hole resistors, "a 5x20mm" fuses, " mm led" LEDs, "mhz crystal", "v zener", "uh inductor". - Designators (C14, Q1, U3) are as printed on the board. Some designators end in a letter for left/right channels (C20A, R43B). On boards with none printed, Circuit Fixers assigns them (standard prefixes, numbered left to right, top to bottom) - those are listed as designators_assigned / designator_assigned: true and should be described as "assigned, not printed on the board". - A "board" with type "view" (in the API and MCP results) is photos of the device rather than one circuit board, e.g. "cover removed" - call it a view ("the cover removed view"). - marking is the text printed on the part itself, a separate field - search finds components by their exact marking, and highlight links accept it (?highlight=SEEG). - SMD marking code pages: https://circuit-fixers.com/markings/ (lower case, e.g. /markings/a6) - every part on our boards with that code, with photos, and the part numbers it is known to be (marking_url in the API and MCP results). One code can be different parts in different packages. All codes: https://circuit-fixers.com/markings ## What's not public - Nets (the traced connections between parts, e.g. a VCC rail) are for technicians with an account - board pages accept ?net= for them. A technician's personal API key (https://circuit-fixers.com/api-keys), sent to the MCP server as "Authorization: Bearer ", unlocks the get_board_nets and trace_net tools. See https://circuit-fixers.com/pricing - Schematics and pinout diagrams are never published. - Part prices are shown only to visitors in St Lucia, where the stock is. ## Terms You may read, summarise and quote this content in answers and search results, with a link to the page it came from.
